Extensions and Renovations

I’ve just googled ‘Renovating your Home’ and amazed at how many sites are offering advice.

There are the usual advertisements  for building renovation companies, advice from a number of the banks, and cost saving tips.

I am impressed with this link   – this is a good reference and I use it as my main reference for  my second year property students at Melbourne University.

So, Why extend and renovate?

  • Do you need more space?
  • Is your home looking tired? And in need of a face lift
  • Are you in need of upgrading your home?
  • Are you frightened by all the horror stories about renovating?

Its important to get the feasibility right before you start spending big money. Consider carefully what you require and what you wish for, and establish an achievable budget.

Creating a residential project includes a collaborative process between myself and the family that will occupy the newly renovated home.

Establishing a viable feasibility involves careful talking and sketching time, to establish suitable ideas, and calculating real appropriate budgets. Making a collaboration is working with ideas in the design process

Once all design decisions are made, detailed drawings and specifications will ensure the design is built as expected, in a fixed price (no variations). The construction process can then be contracted with confidence to a fixed time.
