Positioned within an established suburban setting, the site held significant but unexploited potential for elevated panoramic views from a second story. The clients initially explored volume builder alternatives but realized standard, cookie-cutter models would fail to handle strict local overlooking restrictions or align living spaces with the best vantage points. The brief demanded a highly customized family home that could capture these long-range vistas while managing deep privacy boundaries and maximizing light penetration on a restricted footprint.
A strategy of “Framed Elevation”. We completely re-engineered the spatial layout to elevate primary sightlines, utilizing custom-designed structural window pods that project out to lock onto key horizon views. To counter tight suburban boundary parameters, these projecting architectural nodes were paired with integrated louvered eaves to balance solar control with complete visual privacy. The interior is organized around a high-end monolithic kitchen and a structural circulation axis that seamlessly integrates long-term multi-generational accessibility.
